Beyond The Text 4:
Campaign To Protect Animals



Aims
1.Students are able to create a poster about ways
  to protect the animal.
2.Students are able to present their poster to
  the class.

Materials:  Marker pen, Manila card,
             Color pencil.

Time: 20 minutes

Steps:

1.Teacher divides students into a group 4-5 people.

2.Teacher gives each group with the different type of animal and the background of the animal.
3.Teacher asks students to create a poster to protect the given animal based on the background of the animal.
4.Students need to present their poster to the class.


Notes:
For the beginner level, teacher can discuss about the animal given to the class before assign the topic to the students.

Ways to protect animals


1.  Cat, Dog,Hamster



People abuse them by not provide
enough food and clean
environment.
Some stray cat and dog been
kill by people.
-Give enough food
-Provide clean environment to them


2.  Turtle


People eat turtle egg that
will endanger their species.
-Do not eat turtle egg
-Fine people who sell turtle egg


3.  Orang utan


People destroy their habitat.
-Preserve their habitat
-Provide a center to sustain their species.


4.  Panda

People kills panda for their fur.
-Fine people who hunt them for their fur.
-Preserve their habitat

Good job for all of you.In my opinion,this is the way to teach our students perfectly.Plus, you had provide evaluation form that can be use to assess students performance later.Also all of you had a great job when all the materials are related on our goal. Furthermore,surprisingly you had expose a few of endangered animals that should be protect and preserve by government or non-government at the same time to encourage students to appreciate the nature.
